Never miss a beat with Into the Rhythm VR

Into the Rhythm VR is a virtual reality drumming experience. While many VR drumming simulators opt for a more realistic approach in terms of gameplay, Into the Rhythm VR has a pure arcade feel. This is a good alternative to other drums sims, such as Paradiddle.

A fast and furious rhythmic workout

Players are faced with six targets resembling drums which they have to hit when prompted against a backdrop of vivid colours. When players strike the virtual drums, the tracked-motion controllers vibrate, which further reinforces the illusion that you are playing drums. There are 20 original tracks to play along with, and the game features an editing suite where players can compose and share their own backing tracks.

A whole lotta fun

Into the Rhythm VR’s brand of arcade-style drumming is not necessarily a bad thing: while many other drumming VRs present themselves as a tool by which players can learn the drumkit, the experience of playing them are often marred by poor responsiveness and shoddy design. Into the Rhythm VR is a well-built and extremely enjoyable rhythm game, great for playing at parties or with friends.

PROS

  • Seamless virtual reality experience.
  • Community of players that share their track creations.

CONS

  • Limited range of music to play along with.
  • Won’t teach you how to play drums.
